I have been drawing animals, particularly horses, since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I sold my first painting at the age of 13 (an oil painting of a mare & foal), and now have happy customers around the world.
Topics include a wide range of animals, land & sea-scapes, and working in oils, pastels, watercolours, ink, graphite, bronze and other sculpting mediums. I also enjoy working on various craft projects; leather carving, glass decorating & making jewellery, all using my own unique designs.
My speciality is horses, and having worked with & owned a wide variety, I really have no breed of preference, they all have something going for them, although I admit to a soft spot for Quarter horses! I have portrayed several star equines of the race track, the show ring, and Joe Blogs' back yard...
Working in a variety of mediums, my preference these days is to work in oil pastels, particularly for portrait studies.
